I’m very excited about teaching a basic class in pasta making next Saturday at the Davis Food Coop from 2-4. It’s called “Italian in the Kitchen: Fresh Pasta – The Basics”. Come join us if you can. It is $30 and you will be able to take away your new creation. I will be teaching how to make pasta from scratch (eggs and flour) and teach a little Italian along the way. I will make two sauces to demonstrate how freshly made pasta can be served. One is a basic tomato sauce and the other, to usher in fall flavors, a roasted butternut squash and sausage sauce. I promise I will post the recipe next week! Here is the link if you are interested:http://davisfood.coop/education/cookingclasses
Fresh Pasta Making Class
Published by Vickie
I started blogging mostly for my sons who kept asking me,"Mom, how do you make...?" I had so much fun that I began to widen my circle to my mother (my greatest model of cooking genius), sisters, greater family in Italy and Mexico, friends, neighbors, and colleagues. An English teacher by profession, I'm always looking for creative outlets to express myself in the kitchen. Having grown up in Rome, Italy of an Italian family and married into an Italian family with ties to Mexico, I'm drawn to both cuisines. Here are my musings, inspirations, creations and food adventures from my kitchen to yours! Salute! View all posts by Vickie

Wish could be there.
Wish you could be here too. We miss you!
Awesome Vickie!!! Congrats!
I’ll let you know how it goes!!! I just received my brand new Atlas Marcato pasta maker because I retired my old one. I feel like I have a Ferrari in the house! Yeah!
I am sorry that I won’t be there. I am in the land without pasta. Mary
The land without pasta is no man’s land, dreary and without life. Come home soon! Pasta waiting!
I’m so sad that I am not available this Saturday (19th) to attend this class. I’d love to see you and learn your techniques. All is well with me. Hope this year is going well for you.
Miss you too, Roberta! Maybe next time we can get together!
Very happy for you!
Rob and I will be there. Let me know if I can do anything to help!
Thank you for supporting me! Grease the elbows! See you there!
